McGee is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound third baseman and righthanded hitter who spent his first two seasons at Gonzaga and was the West Coast Conference freshman of the year in 2022. He transferred to Texas Tech for the 2024 season and has continued to show solid-average tools with a competitive approach at the plate and strong on-base skills. While McGee has never hit above .300 in a full season, he has consistently walked at a strong clip, sees plenty of pitches and manages his strikeouts by staying within the zone on his swing decisions. He’s not a huge power hitter, and most of his homers are pulled down the left field line, but there’s enough juice to keep pitchers honest. He is a solid-average defender at third base who should stick at the hot corner and has an above-average arm.
