A 6-foot-4, 205-pound righthander with a big arm, Lally has been scouted heavily this spring in Michigan thanks to a big fastball. After sitting around 90 mph and touching 94 last summer on the showcase circuit, Lally has ticked his fastball up this spring and been in the low 90s and touched 96. He has thrown a spike-grip curveball with downer shape and a slider as well, though the pitches can blend together in shape and velocity in the upper 70s and lower 80s at times, and he also mixes in a low-80s changeup. While Lally has a four-pitch mix, he carries plenty of reliever risk thanks to a violent and effortful delivery that features plenty of head whack and recoil. Lally is committed to Notre Dame.
