School: Florida. Committed: Never Drafted. Age At Draft: 21.7
Cyr lit the world on fire in his 2023 freshman season to the tune of a .305/.427/.620 slash line with 12 doubles, 17 home runs and 63 RBIs, but was unable to stay on the field in 2024 and appeared in just 25 games. He consistently generates quality contact with big-time bat speed at the dish and no issue getting to his power in games with 24 total homers in his first 85 career games with Miami. Cyr has the defensive chops to stick at second base professionally. -

School: Windermere (Fla.) Prep Committed/Drafted: Miami
Age At Draft: 18.7
A 6-foot, 186-pound shortstop, Cyr stands out for his bat speed and bat-to-ball skills. Since last summer Cyr has added plenty of strength and mass to his frame, which has resulted in worse run times but a bit more power in his game. Cyr has compact strength in his frame and a swing leveraged for power, though how much game power he will get to at the next level is a question. He has an aggressive approach at the plate and will expand the zone, but the swing itself is clean and he’s shown the hand speed to square up 90-plus mph velocity. A shortstop now, Cyr certainly has the arm strength for the left side of the infield, with above-average throwing ability and good carry, but he might lack the range and actions to stick at the position long term. Some scouts think he would be an interesting catcher-conversion candidate with the aptitude to make that transition. Cyr is committed to Miami.
