Neville is a toolsy, two-way player who has turned in plus run times, shown impressive power to the pull side as a lefthanded hitter and has a chance to play center field. Scouts think he needs to add more polish to both sides of his game, as his at-bats are inconsistent, and he’ll need to refine his route running to stick in the middle of the outfield as he develops physically. It’s more likely that his route running and instincts push him to a corner outfield spot and he has more than enough arm strength to profile in right, if he can continue to fill out his 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame and get to more power consistently at the plate. He did perform well this spring and went 4-for-9 (.444) at USA Baseball’s National High School Invitational in April, while showing solid run and defensive tools. He throws in the upper 80s and low 90s on the mound and has some feel to spin a mid-70s curveball, and his arm talent is enough to give him a real fallback option as a pitcher. Neville is committed to Arkansas.
