Clow had a chance to challenge for the best prep shortstop in the Northwest this spring, but the coronavirus pandemic meant he didn’t get to play a game, leaving scouts to evaluate him based on summer looks. A wiry, undersized middle infielder listed at 6-foot, 170 pounds, Clow stands out because of his loose, handsy swing and some scouts think he has a chance to be an average or better hitter. However he doesn’t have much physical projection or present power, and some scouts think his fringey arm strength will make him a better fit for second base long term. Clow is committed to Southern California and will likely make it to campus considering the circumstances of the 2020 season and draft.
