View Draft Report
Robertson is a big, 6-foot-6, 265-pound righthander who works with a four-pitch mix, including a fastball that tops out at 96 mph. He has a curveball with 12-to-6 movement and hard downward tilt and an average slider. Robertson doesn't have good command of his secondaries at the moment, dominating mostly with his fastball and is strictly a reliever profile. Robertson missed the 2017 season with injury, but has dominated in two seasons since, including a 1.01 ERA this spring, with 54 strikeouts and 11 walks through 35.2 innings of work.

BA Grade: 40/Medium
Track Record: Robertson had a whirlwind few months to end 2023. After being left off the Dodgers’ 40-man roster and exposed to the 2022 Rule 5 draft, Robertson pitched his way onto the 40-man in 2023. He was then shipped to the Red Sox for Enrique Hernandez a week before the 2023 trade deadline. Robertson spent the remainder of the season moving back and forth between Triple-A Worcester and Boston and had three stints with the Red Sox. On Dec. 8, Robertson was one of the players traded to the Cardinals for outfielder Tyler O’Neill.
Scouting Report: An imposing righthanded reliever, Robertson mixes a fastball, slider and changeup. Robertson’s four-seam fastball sits 95-96 mph and touches 97, and misses bats when located at the top of the zone. His best secondary is an upper-80s changeup with heavy tumble and fade. He shows remarkable feel for the pitch despite its dynamic movement and generates whiffs in and out of the zone with it. Robertson’s breaking ball is a mid-80s sweeper slider that generates few whiffs but lots of bad contact. Robertson shows strong command for his entire arsenal and is a candidate for the opening day bullpen.
The Future: Robertson is a middle reliever with a powerful three pitch mix and solid command.

Robertson jumped to Double-A and has impressed as Tulsa's closer. He floods the strike zone with mid-90s fastballs, has a slider that handles righties and a changeup that handles lefties. His stuff and aggressive mentality are befitting of a high-leverage reliever, and he's not far off from his major league debut.
