Santiago is a 6-foot-1, 160-pound prep shortstop with athleticism who shows some tools on the infield. His best tool is his running ability. He has a tendency to speed the game up defensively and will need to slow things down in the future to cut down his errors. Offensively, Santiago has potential, but he'll need to refine his swing mechanics, as it's not a fluid path and some evaluators think he hooks his bat too much. Santiago is committed to Florida International.
