Commit/Drafted: Cubs ’19 (40)
Age At Draft: 23
Bingham was draft eligible in the 2022 class when he ranked as the No. 345 prospect, but he went unselected and returned to Arizona for his fourth year with the program. He could be viewed as a senior sign target among the top 10 rounds thanks to a respectable bat, plus speed and average center field defense. A career year with the bat in 2023 will only help his cause. Bingham slashed .360/.432/.573 with 10 home runs, 20 doubles, a 14.5% strikeout rate and a 10.8% walk rate this spring. Bingham’s most likely big league role is as a platoon bat against lefthanded pitchers, but he has done enough to earn a shot in pro ball. -

When Bingham was in high school, he set the city of San Diego record with eight touchdowns in one game as a running back. He still looks like a running back, and his plus speed is a further reminder that he used to be a two-sport star. A 40th-round pick of the Cubs out of high school, Bingham chose to head to Arizona, where he’s been a three-year starter. Bingham is an average defender in center field with a below-average arm. After hitting over .300 in his first two seasons as a Wildcat, Bingham hit .277/.338/.459 this year, although he did have seven triples. As a below-average hitter with below-average power, Bingham profiles as a backup outfielder who could be a day three selection.
