Morris was a key piece out of the bullpen for Arkansas this spring. In 22 appearances, Morris went 6-1, 2.31. He held hitters to a .230 average against as he attacked with 3 pitches. Morris loves to use his 90-92 mph fastball. Landing across his body and releasing from a lower three-quarter slot adds deception, especially against lefthanded hitters. Morris has the ability to vary the speed and break on his 80-84 mph slider. Sometimes showing depth, but most often times sweep, the lefthander will mix it in any time in the count and as a put away to left-handed bats. Morris throws a firm 83-85 changeup that will flash sharp diving action on the outer corner of the plate to righthanded hitters. Some scouts believe Morris can take on a starting role. His command will have to sharpen up a bit, but the pitch variety is there to make it a possibility.
