View Draft Report
Ohanian had the opportunity to pitch in front of high level scouting officials who had come in to see teammate Michael Matuella, and he took advantage, showing potential with two pitches. His fastball works in the low 90s and touches 93 mph, and when it's on the pitch has exceptional late movement. Ohanian's best secondary offering is his potentially average breaking ball, which can disrupt hitters timing with its late break down and in to lefthanded hitters. He has always been a strikeout pitcher, and this season Ohanian was able to consistently spot his stuff down in the strike zone. He struck out nearly six batters per walk, and also showed the ability to go multiple innings. He should be a solid senior sign, and he has a chance to pitch in a major league bullpen relatively soon.
