  Kennedy started for four years behind the plate for Savanna coach Rick Parmenter, who pitched for Cal State Fullerton's 1996 team. A Fullerton signee, Kennedy made the Area Code Games last summer thanks mostly to his defense. He projects as an average defensive backstop with an average arm, and his bat remains a question mark. He has a short, line-drive swing but no power. He'll need to add strength to become a serviceable offensive player, but his contact ability gives him a chance to be a fringy to average hitter down the line.
