He transferred to CC of Southern Nevada for needed at-bats and now may match or out-do his 2012 draft slot, when he went in the 11th round to the Blue Jays. He dominated the wood-bat Scenic West Athletic Conference. He hit .377/.464/.686 in the wood-bat league, leading it in home runs and doubles (24). Heyman has present strength in his 6-foot-4, 225-pound body as well as bat speed, and his power is real. If he doesn't get the bonus he's looking for, he'll transfer to Oregon State for his junior season.
