Jones is a 6-foot-2, 195-pound righthander who pitched two seasons with Jacksonville State in 2022 and 2023 before transferring to Texas A&M for the 2024 season. He posted a 6.70 ERA through 11 starts and 43 innings with a 21.2% strikeout rate and 8.6% walk rate. Jones throws a fastball that sits 93-94 mph and touches 97, as well as an upper 80s cutter, a mid-80s slider and a low-80s changeup.
