Eaton is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound lefthander with a strong pitching frame and intriguing pure stuff on the mound, but has struggled with control in his college career. He throws a fastball in the 90-94 mph range and has touched 96, but is erratic with his location of the pitch and doesn’t have much more feel for his secondaries, which includes a slurvy breaking ball in the low 80s and a mid-80s changeup that he spikes too frequently. Eaton has solid ingredients here, especially for a team that believes they can help him get the ball over the plate more frequently.
