Barring a catastrophe, the New York Yankees will make Arizona State outfielder Mike Kelly the No. 1 pick in the draft. A 6-foot-4, 195-pound center fielder, Kelly hits for power, runs better than average, is a brilliant defensive player and has scored well on mental aptitude tests. He was Baseball America’s 1990 College Player of the Year.
