RHP R.A. Dickey, who has won 38 games in three seasons at Tennessee, should go in the first 10 picks. Scouts question Dickey's arm action but love his heart. He's a workhorse who wants the ball in any situation. He voluntarily abandoned his spot as the Volunteers' No. 1 starter midway through the season to become their closer. He struggled in that role and returned to the rotation, where he pitched brilliantly down the stretch. Dickey was clocked at 96 mph on back-to-back days this season, meaning a relief role may be a viable option down the road.
