Drafted in the 14th round (414th overall) by the Seattle Mariners in 2021 (signed for $125,000).
Scouting Reports
BA Grade: 45/High
August Update: Moore was traded to the Reds in the deal that sent Luis Castillo to Seattle. He stands out as a reliever with a fastball and a pair of breaking balls that give him the weapons to be a useful MLB reliever. His lack of a changeup and his approach will likely keep the Reds from toying with the idea of moving him to the rotation. He's best as a fast-moving reliever.
Midseason Update: Moore has emerged as a potential steal out of the 2021 draft with a lively 95-97 mph fastball and a breaking ball that gets swings and misses both in and out of the zone. He struck out 50 batters in his first 28 innings of relief.
