Drafted in the 22nd round (658th overall) by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2015 (signed for $147,500).

Marsden, whose high school coach Glen Walker coached Tim Lincecum in high school, could be the second prep drafted out of the Northwest thanks to his good stuff and signability. Marsden was committed to Seattle but didn't make it academically and had sent out strong signals that he was ready to start his pro career. He may be ready stuff-wise as well. He's strengthened his listed 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame and has a live arm, capable of hitting 93 mph, though he more typically sits in the upper 80s. He has shown a feel for spinning a breaking ball, a curveball with above-average potential thanks to quick hands and long fingers. Marsden has a clean arm and has flashed a changeup as well, but his curve is his calling card.
