Jenco has plus speed as his carrying tool. He's been banged up over the course of his Virginia Tech career, but the 5-foot-10, 180-pounder is a true burner who needs to refine his stolen-base technique. He fits the leadoff-hitter profile as a lefthanded hitter with speed and plate discipline (103 BB, 93 SO career). He's got center-field range with a well below-average throwing arm.

Draft Prospects
Jenco's best tool is his plus-plus speed. On ground balls, the lefthanded hitter is routinely clocked at between 3.7 and 3.8 seconds from home to first, and he has shown the ability to use his speed in center field. Jenco has been somewhat passive at the plate at times, but swung the bat with more aggressiveness this spring, leading some to believe he could be serviceable with the bat. Jenco has a long medical history, and has had multiple issues with his throwing shoulder, including a torn labrum that sidelined him for all of his true freshman season. His arm strength has come back slowly, and at full strength it grades as a below-average tool. Jenco redshirted, so he has two full years of NCAA eligibility remaining.
