BA Grade: 45/Very High
Track Record: Another member of Cleveland’s banner 2017 international class, Noel signed on his 16th birthday and debuted the following year in the Dominican Summer League. After a strong 2021 season that ended with High-A Lake County, he was added to the 40-man roster. He’s continued his aggressive progress into the upper minors, and his 59 home runs in the last two years led all Guardians minor leaguers.
Scouting Report: Noel has a big, strong frame and produces tremendous bat speed and raw power. He regularly records elite exit velocities and doesn’t have to sell out to get to his premium power. He’s an aggressive hitter, though he’s maintained manageable strikeout rates in the upper minors including a 24.8% mark in 2024. Noel was a third baseman early in his career but now primarily plays in the outfield. He’s not the rangiest player, but he’s done a nice job learning the position and has solid-average arm strength.
The Future: Noel’s raw power is tantalizing, and he could be a middle-of-the-order hitter, but as a right-right slugger who will play in a corner, there’s a lot riding on his bat and he’ll have to continue to develop as an overall hitter. The Guardians are looking to inject more power into their lineup and if Noel continues to perform, he’ll likely get an audition in 2024.

Track Record: Another member of Cleveland's banner 2017 international class, Noel signed on his 16th birthday and debuted the following year in the Dominican Summer League. After a strong 2021 season that ended with high Class A Lake County, he was added to the 40-man roster. He continued his aggressive progress in 2022, when he hit 32 home runs to lead all Guardians minor leaguers and reach Triple-A Columbus.
Scouting Report: Noel has a big, strong frame and produces tremendous bat speed and raw power. He regularly records elite exit velocities and doesn't have to sell out to get to his premium power. He's an aggressive hitter and struck out in 27% of his plate appearances in 2022, though that rate was actually better in Double-A Akron (22.7) than in Lake County (31.7). Noel primarily played the outfield in 2022 after previously being primarily a third baseman. His below-average range means that third base is not his long-term future and he's still learning the outfield.
The Future: Noel's raw power is tantalizing, and he could be a middle-of-the-order hitter. But as a right-right slugger who will play in a corner, there's a lot riding on his bat and he'll have to continue to develop as an overall hitter. He'll return to Columbus in 2023 and with the Guardians always looking for power, he could soon find his way to Cleveland.

Track Record: Another member of Cleveland’s banner 2017 international class, Noel signed on his 16th birthday and debuted the following year in the Dominican Summer League. Though he was hampered by hand and ankle injuries in 2021, he still delivered a breakout season and rose to High-A Lake County as a 20-year-old in his first full professional season.
Scouting Report: Noel has a big, strong frame and produces tremendous bat speed and raw power. He recorded a max exit velocity of 115 mph in 2021 and he doesn’t have to sell out to get to his premium power. He controls the zone relatively well for a young power hitter, but there’s no question he’s an aggressive hitter looking to do damage at the plate. Noel spent most of his time at third base, but his below-average range may mean he eventually moves across the diamond to first base, where he’s already playing some.
The Future: Noel’s raw power is tantalizing, and he could be a middle-of-the-order hitter. But as a right-right corner infielder, there’s a lot riding on his bat and he’ll need to continue to develop as an overall hitter. Still, the Guardians thought enough of his potential to add him to the 40-man roster in November. He’ll advance to Double-A Akron in 2022.

Noel, 20, is an imposing figure in the batter's box at 6-foot-3, 250 pounds and he has the power to match. He's made a lot of hard contact in his full-season debut with Low-A Lynchburg, though hand and ankle injuries have limited him some this season.
