Garcia, a redshirt sophomore righthander, thrived in the hitter-friendly Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference by throwing strikes with a 94-mph future above-average fastball, fanning more than a batter per inning in each of his seasons at Metro State. The 6-foot-3, 180 pound hurler was able to pitch deep into most of his starts, throwing two complete games--including a shutout against Colorado Mines. Garcia's 78-82 mph 12-to-6 curveball projects to be an above-average offering and he also flashes an average 77-80 mph changeup.
