It's a down year in Puerto Rico, but Fargas is a player who stands out because of his speed. While some scouts believe his 6.31-second 60-yard dash time at the island's annual Excellence Tournament was a little hot, he's still a 70 runner on the 20-80 scouting scale with long, gliding strides. He has a thin, wiry build at 6-foot-2 and 160 pounds and some whip to his swing, but there's not a lot of strength behind it yet. He's young for the class and it's easy to dream on all of his tools aside from power, which should be no better than average. Fargas has played shortstop but doesn't have the softest hands. He profiles better in center field, where his speed will be more of an asset, and his arm is above-average. Fargas could move up draft boards because he is considered signable, but the team that picks him will need to be patient with his development.
