View Draft Report
The son of former Dodgers first baseman Eric Karros, Jared was UCLA's Opening Day starter in 2021 but made only seven appearances before suffering a season-ending back injury. He was expected to return this spring but missed the entire season with continued back problems. Karros is a 6-foot-7 righthander who showed a solid three-pitch mix when healthy. His fastball sits in the upper-80s and he has a good feel for both his curveball and changeup. He has above-average command, a good feel for pitching and still has room to fill out his frame. Karros' back injury clouds his outlook, but a team could take a shot on him late on the draft's third day.
