A 6-foot-6, 208-pound lefthander, Hill mostly struggled in two seasons with Georgia Tech in 2022 and 2023, but was one of the most impressive pitchers in the Cape Cod League during the 2023 summer. He made seven starts and 11 total appearances with Cotuit and posted a 1.09 ERA with a 34.4% strikeout rate and a 12.2% walk rate. He sits in the 90-94 mph range with his fastball and his best pitch is a soft slider with about seven inches of break and spin rates in the 2,500 rpm range. He’ll mix in an 83-mph changeup to righties occasionally, but primarily works off the fastball/slider combo. If he can translate his Cape success to the ACC in 2024, and add a bit more velocity by growing into his projectable frame, he could move up boards.
