Healy is a lean and projectable 6-foot-6, 200-pound lefthander who filled up the strike zone and posted a 2.32 ERA for Duke in 42.2 innings as a freshman in 2023. He split time as a starter and reliever that season but in 2024 pitched as a full-time starter and posted a 3.76 ERA over 40.2 innings and 12 starts with a 24.7% strikeout rate and 10% walk rate that was a significant step back from his 2023 3.8% mark. Healy throws a three-pitch mix including a low-90s fastball that touches 95 with solid ride and armside run, a slow slider in the upper 70s that blends in shape between a slider and curve and a mid-80s changeup that is his best pitch and most consistent swing-and-miss offering.
