Scouts liked Susnara out of his Northern California high school for his catch-and-throw skills and hoped to see his bat develop in college. In three seasons, it didn't happen, as he batted a cumulative .248 over three seasons as the Ducks' regular catcher. He has limited power from the left side of the plate and lacks bat speed, but he has solid size and strength at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds and can be an organization player as a catch-and-throw receiver, though his blocking needs work. His average arm allowed him to throw out 33 percent (9-for-27) basestealers this season though he had 11 passed balls.

Draft Prospects
An Oregon signee, Susnara started the year with a chance to be part of a strong high school catching crop for the draft. However, he hit just .223 this spring, likely sending him to fulfill his college commitment. Susnara has flashed plus catch-and-throw tools, though his struggles at the plate affected his defensive performance this spring, particularly his receiving. The 5-foot-10, 188-pounder posted consistent 1.85-2.0-second pop times last summer and fall at showcases, and he has some present strength in his compact frame. He hit only one home run in high school, and his swing and offensive approach will need plenty of work at Oregon.
