School: Coastal Carolina
Commit/Drafted: Never Drafted
Age at Draft: 21.5
Antonacci ranked as the No. 316 player in the 2023 class after a monster season with Heartland (Ill.) JC. Despite drawing draft interest at the time, Antonacci went to Coastal Carolina for his first taste of D-I baseball where he continued to show the same high average and excellent on-base skills he showed at the junior college level. The 6-foot, 193-pound third baseman was hitting .406/.571/.534 with a 19.6% walk rate through his first 37 games and rarely expands the zone or swings and misses in general. His 93% in-zone contact rate is a standout metric, but he might be reliant on a savvy eye and excellent contact skills to drive an offensive profile that lacks power. To that end, Antonacci might be better served at second base instead of a corner in pro ball, where he can play up the middle and have less pressure to hit for power. He previously played shortstop, but has been Coastal’s everyday third baseman in 2024. He could fit as a day two draft prospect for teams that prioritize his bat-to-ball skills and swing decisions.

School: Heartland (Ill.) JC Source: JC
Commit/Drafted: Coastal Carolina
Age At Draft: 20.4
The 6-foot, 180-pound sophomore put together a monstrous spring for Heartland (Ill.) JC. Antonacci hit .515 with 32 doubles, 14 home runs and 103 RBIs. Speed plays a big part in Antoacci’s game, and he stole 33 bases in 34 attempts. With a keen eye at the plate, the lefthanded hitter possesses the bat speed and bat-to-ball skill seen at major Divison I programs. Like most high-average bats, Antonacci uses all fields with a “hit where it’s pitched” approach and is difficult to punch out—he had a 48-to-22 walk-to-strikeout ratio in 2023. The hit tool is his strength and projects to carry him in the professional ranks. Defensively, Antonacci played shortstop the past two seasons for Heartland. Scouts praise his instincts and quick first step, and that’s backed with solid-average arm strength. Second base may ultimately be his home defensively as he continues to mature, but there’s no reason for him to move off shortstop at this point. Committed to Coastal Carolina, Antonacci is currently playing for the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod League to give scouts a look at how he fares against some of the top arms in the country with a wood bat.
