Guerra was a prominent prep prospect who ranked as the No. 181 prospect in the 2021 draft class thanks to impressive raw power and arm strength. He was expected to move off the position at the next level and has done so at Oregon State, where he’s played first base mostly, but also some third and corner outfield. A 6-foot-3, 208-pound righthanded hitter, Guerra is strong with plenty of raw power but has real contact questions. To his credit, he has improved his strikeout rate each year in the Pac-12, though there are real swing-and-miss concerns versus secondaries that could prevent him from being an average hitter in pro ball.
