Following a freshman season in which he flashed his thunderous stuff, Keljo added some much-needed polish to his game and pitched his way to a 3.98 ERA with 60 strikeouts against 14 walks in 43 innings. Keep in mind that as a true freshman in 2023, Keljo walked 17 across 21.2 innings. The 6-foot-4 lefty flamethrower’s fastball has been up to 97 with ample riding life in the top 1/2 of the strike zone, and he pairs it with an above-average slider that is effective against both right and lefthanded hitters. Keljo still needs to clean up his direction on the mound and add a viable third pitch to his arsenal, but there is plenty to like and dream on.
