Morris is the power pitcher of the first order and a favorite to be the first pitcher drafted. His fastball is clocked routinely in the mid-90s, while his delivery reminds scouts of former Orioles star Jim Palmer. Morris probably won't be one of the first college pitchers to reach the big leagues because he took up pitching only in his senior year of high school and still is learning how to pitch. He lacks command of a power curve and has little concept of pitching in the strike zone.
