He homered 15 times in 2022 and added 11 more in 2023 with 26 home runs and a .379/.446/.765 slash line as one of the best run producers in the country. His 105 RBIs were the most in the country and set a single-season program record for Maryland. He also became the career RBI leader for the Terrapins, with 175 in just two seasons with the program. Listed at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, Lorusso hits the ball hard with a 92 mph average exit velocity and showed solid power to all fields. He also hit well in the Cape Cod League during the 2022 summer, though it was just a a seven-game stint and he also had a 9-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
