Drafted in the 8th round (234th overall) by the Seattle Mariners in 2021 (signed for $150,000).

Parker was Clemson’s starting shortstop this spring after playing some second and third in the past and had a career-year, hitting .324/.411/.500 with eight home runs, but that came with a 21 percent strikeout rate. Scouts think he is a solid defender now, but he could be challenged at the next level. There are also questions about his swing and what sort of hitter he’ll be in pro ball.
