USA Baseball Announces 2023 National High School Invitational Field

Today USA Baseball announced the field of teams for the 2023 National High School Invitational (NHSI), annually one of the top high school tournaments in the country.

The event, which will take place from March 29-April 1 at USA Baseball’s national training complex in Cary, N.C., pits 16 teams against one another in a single-elimination tournament.

One notable omission in the 2023 field is 2022 champion and 2022 BA High School Team of the Year, Stoneman Douglass (Parkland, Fla.) High, which became just the second non-California team to win the event in its nine-year history.

The 10th anniversary of the event will feature four schools from Florida, four schools from California, two schools from Georgia and one each from Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, Oregon, Kentucky and North Carolina.
