Prospect Report: Palacios Gets First MLB Hit
Monday’s Prospect Performers
With the minor leagues off, it was a very light night.
Richie Palacios, OF, Guardians: The pride of Brooklyn, New York and Towson made his major league debut against the Angels Monday and collected two hits on the night. Richie’s older brother Josh debuted last season for the Blue Jays and as luck would have it also faced the Angels in his debut. Richie had a breakout 2021 as he hit .297/.404/.471 with 7 home runs and 20 stolen bases. This after missing all of the 2019 season due to a torn labrum and the following season prior due to the cancellation of minor league play in 2020.
