Panaccione led Grand Canyon in hitting in both his junior and senior seasons with nearly identical numbers (.376 in 2015, .363 in 2016), while also anchoring Grand Canyon's infield defense. Undrafted after his junior year, Panaccione will be an economical senior sign for a team looking for a gamer type who may play above his tools and exceed the profile of an organizational type player. There are questions how well his bat will play at the next level, as he doesn't have great bat speed and doesn't use his hips well. An average runner, Panaccione may profile better at second base rather than shortstop due to limited range, and could turn into a jack-of-all-trades utility player like current Grand Canyon head coach Andy Stankiewicz.
