Jordan impressed as an underclassman at the WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, Fla. in October 2022, when he touched 91 mph. His velocity ticked up from that point and he put himself into a tier of high school players that has some of the most exciting pure stuff in the class. Listed at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, Jordan has a strong body and long, whippy arm action that includes a full arm swing in the back and a low three-quarters slot. He drops deep into his legs in his delivery and creates a tough angle for hitters, but that same delivery causes questions for scouts because of his arm action and lack of command. He has a lively running fastball that sits in the low 90s and has been up to 95 mph. His slider is a standout swing-and-miss pitch with plus potential in the low 80s. He leans heavily on the breaking ball, which can start on the outer rail to righties before sweeping with sharp lateral break to induce chases and ugly swings. Jordan also has a changeup but doesn’t use it much. He’s committed to Florida State and has a chance to wind up there because of his reliever risk.
