Pawlowski’s DUI Charge Dismissed
Western Kentucky coach John Pawlowski’s charge of driving under the influence was dismissed outright Wednesday in district court.
Pawlowski was arrested Jan. 29 and charged with a DUI. His lawyer, Brian Lowder, said in a statement Feb. 1 that Pawlowski submitted to a breathalyzer test at the Warren County Regional Jail less than an hour after the arrest, and registered a .021 blood alcohol content. Kentucky’s legal limit is .08 BAC.
Pawlowski was hired by the Hilltoppers last June, replacing Matt Myers who was fired after four seasons. Pawlowski spent the last two years as associate head coach at San Diego State, and previously was head coach at the College of Charleston and Auburn.
