Athletics Underclass Area Code Games Roster
The Athletics unveiled their 2016 Underclass Area Code Team to represent Northern California and the Northwest at the Area Code Baseball Underclass Games in Cerritos and Long Beach, Calif., on Aug. 10-12.
Major League teams scout the Underclass Games to establish background on prospects that could develop into draft talents down the line, and the event is well-attended by prominent college baseball coaching staffs.
Prominent prospects for 2017 that participated in last year’s Area Code Underclass Games include Conner Uselton, Mitchell Stone, Royce Lewis, Brandon McCabe and Alex Scherff.
