Vlad Guerrero, Pudge Rodriguez on 2017 Hall Of Fame Ballot

Vladimir Guerrero, Pudge Rodriguez and Manny Ramirez—with two MVPs and 35 all-star appearances between them—are among the most prominent additions to the Hall of Fame ballot for 2017.

The 34-name ballot was unveiled Monday by the Hall of Fame. Jeff Bagwell, who fell just 15 votes shy of the needed 75 percent for induction, is the top holdover. Tim Raines (69.8 percent), Trevor Hoffman (67.3) and Curt Schilling (52.3) were the others who got more than 50 percent of the vote. Raines is in his 10th and final year on the ballot. Roger Clemens (45.2) and Barry Bonds (44.3) remain on the ballot for a fifth year.

Guerrero hit .318/.379/.553 with 449 homers and 1,496 RBIs in 16 seasons with the Expos, Angels, Rangers and Orioles. He was a nine-time All-Star and AL MVP in 2004.

Rodriguez was a 14-time All-Star and won 13 Gold Gloves in 21 seasons with the Rangers, Marlins, Tigers and Yankees, Astros and Nationals. He hit .296/.334/.464 with 311 homers and 1,332 RBIs. He was MVP with the Rangers in 1999.

Ramirez was chosen as an all-star 12 times, and was MVP of the 2007 World Series. He hit 555 homers in 19 seasons with the Indians, Red Sox, Dodgers, White Sox and Rays.

Other players added to the ballot this year are shortstop Edgar Renteria, Yankees catcher Jorge Posada, six-time All-Star Magglio Ordonez, slugging first baseman Derrek Lee and three-time Gold Glove center fielder Mike Cameron.
