Yankees Prospect Figueredo Shot To Death
Yankees lefthander Alexander Figueredo, who reportedly had been suspended for the 2016 season for an undisclosed reason, was shot and killed in his native Venezuela, the New York Post reported.
Figueredo, 20, was shot multiple times at a party on Nov. 27 in Venezuela, the Post reported.
The lefthander was 5-0, 1.89 in 12 games (11 starts) for the Yankees1 team in the Rookie-level DSL in his only season of pro ball.
