College Baseball Rankings Top 25 For April 10

With another 4-0 week, Oregon State extended its winning streak to 23 games, the nation’s longest this year, and remains atop the Baseball America Top 25, powered by Louisville Slugger.

Oregon State’s winning streak was already a program record and has now equaled the Pacifc-12 Conference mark, first set by Arizona State in 1988. During their winning streak, the Beavers have outscored opponents 143-49.

The top six in the rankings remain the same this week, with Louisville, Texas Christian, North Carolina, Clemson and Texas Tech following Oregon State. Arizona, Cal State Fullerton, Louisiana State and Auburn round out the top 10.

Three teams join the Top 25 this week. Oregon leads the newcomers at No. 22, followed by Michigan at No. 23 and Connecticut at No. 25. Michigan returns to the rankings after two weeks’ absence, while Oregon and Connecticut are ranked for the first time this season. Connecticut is back in the Top 25 for the first time since it was No. 12 in the final 2011 rankings.

Falling out of the Top 25 are Florida Gulf Coast, Florida State and Maryland. All three had losing weekends.

The Southeastern Conference leads all conferences with seven teams in the rankings. The Atlantic Coast Conference follows with five representatives.

The staff of Baseball America determines the Top 25 rankings. Records indicated are through April 9 and do not include ties.
