Tallon was lights out in his first year at Duke and while his numbers might not look as pretty this spring, he pitched much better in the back half of the season. His fastball sits 91-94 mph and tops out at 95. It flashes plenty of carry through the zone while consistently getting over the barrel of opposing hitters. Tallon relied heavily on his fastball, but he also mixed in a low-80s slider that flashed sharp, lateral movement. He has some natural deception in his delivery and attacks from a low release height, which only adds to his effectiveness.
