  Walsh was an intriguing power-hitting prospect and multi-sport athlete out of high school. He ranked as the No. 155 prospect in the 2021 class, but made it to campus at Oregon, where he has had an up-and-down career, but has also been a consistent source of home runs in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. A 6-foot-4, 222-pound lefthanded hitter, Walsh has plenty of raw power and can leave the park to right field and left field, but he’s never had a strikeout rate lower than about 24%, and his pure hitting ability might limit the amount of in-game power he taps into in pro ball. As a first base–only prospect, Walsh will need to get to as much power as possible to profile as a regular. He’s a power-over-hit prospect, but a second year with 15+ home runs with Oregon, while also upping his walk rate, could make him a day two prospect for clubs excited about his impact potential.
