View Draft Report
Clark is a strong-bodied catcher with impressive arm strength behind the plate. He has turned in pop times around the 1.9-second mark this spring with a short, compact throwing motion and overhand slot. Clark looks the part behind the plate and is firmly a defense-first catcher, but he also has a strong, righthanded swing and a solid approach at the plate. His swing can get a bit stiff at times and there are questions about body maintenance as he develops. Clark's sound defensive foundation and chance to hit for power make him a candidate to be taken on the draft's third day. He is committed to Cal State Bakersfield but is signable.

Clark is a strong-bodied catcher with impressive arm strength behind the plate. He has turned in pop times around the 1.9-second mark for scouts this spring, with a short and compact throwing motion and overhand slot. His catch-and-throw ability is the calling card for his profile, but Clark also has some strength in his swing and a solid approach at the plate. The righthanded swing can get a bit stiff at times, and there are questions about body maintenance (particularly in his lower half) as he develops, but with a chance for solid power and a sound defensive foundation, Clark could find himself selected among the top 10 rounds. He’s a Cal State Bakersfield commit who would be draft-eligible as a sophomore in 2024 if he makes it to campus.
