He’s a career .336/.418/.565 hitter who showed a bit more power in his 2024 campaign—going from four home runs to 16—and has an unusual defensive profile as a plus defensive first baseman who is a legitimate option in center field as well. Listed at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, Thomas has solid hitting chops and contact skills with a lefthanded swing that has a slight hitch in his hand load and can get a bit long at times but has yielded an 88% in-zone contact rate. He gets a bit aggressive with his swing decisions out of the zone at times, particularly against secondaries, but can handle top-end velocity and has a chance for average pure hitting ability and average raw power.
