A 6-foot-4, 215-pound righthander, Lee is a hard-throwing pitcher who ran his fastball up to 98 this spring and regularly sits in the 94-95 mph range. He started 12 games this spring for Division II Lee (Tenn.) University and posted a 1.81 ERA over 79.2 innings while striking out 110 batters and walking 27. Workman flashes a slider and has a developing changeup, but some scouts thought he could fit best in a reliever role at the next level. He began his career in the bullpen with Lee, but was a full-time starter over the last two seasons.
