A 6-foot-4, 220-pound righthander, Archer missed the 2019 season due to an elbow injury—though he didn’t undergo Tommy John surgery—and got back on the mound for just 10.2 innings this spring before the 2020 season ended. A fastball/changeup pitcher, Archer works with a fastball in the 91-93 mph range predominantly, while his changeup is an above-average or plus pitch.
