Note: @MILBPromos on X/Twitter calls itself “your unofficial official home for Minor League Baseball promotions and giveaways”, and it is one of the most popular accounts for following Minor League promotions and branding of all kinds, including promo jerseys. With Black Friday here, we asked Jake from MILB Promos to rank his 10 favorite promo jerseys of 2024.

Happy Thanksgiving week, everyone. Hopefully the turkey is filling, and you’re already stuffing your stocking with your favorite team gear. I’m here from MiLBPromos to bridge your gap between off-season and Opening Day by providing a view into a different corner of the baseball world: promotions.

Over the past few years, Minor League Baseball has become more than just prospects taking the field hoping to earn a shot at the show. It’s about local communities. It’s about more intimate settings. It’s about finding fun and unique was to get fans into the stadium. I’m sure we’ll have even more of it in 2025. But before we get there, let’s take a quick look into last season with the 10 Best Promo Jerseys of 2024!

These jerseys—with the related caps and other merch—are available at MILBstore.com or at the individual team shops online. And be sure to follow us on X/Twitter for all the latest deals heading into Black Friday weekend and beyond!

Trenton Goldens (Trenton Thunder, MLB Draft League)

Since 2002, a family of golden retrievers has served as official bat dogs in Trenton. Chase, Derby and Rookie have been such a highlight of the franchise that they have even received a callup to the bigs. The club decided to pay tribute to their goodest front office members by changing their name to the Trenton Goldens twice last season.

Jersey Diners (Somerset Patriots, Double A Yankees)

New Jersey is known for a lot of things. But few would translate better to those in and out of Jersey than the casual eatery of: the Jersey Diner. The Patriots took everything a diner would be known for and turned it into an alternate identity that I’m sure we’ll see again in 2025.

Jacksonville Public Domain (Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Triple A Marlins)

There aren’t many minor league teams out there at any level that haven’t had to balance popular culture and intellectual property. There isn’t much worse than building an audience for an upcoming promotion and having to pull the plug because of a cease and desist. How did the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp get out in front of it? On May 19, they sported these public domain jerseys featuring Steamboat Willie, King Kong and Starry Night.

Winston-Salem Blue Vs. Green Bubble (Winston-Salem Dash, High-A White Sox)

Arguments with family and friends about the quality of text conversations and group chats was front and center last June when the Winston-Salem Dash took the field in these Blue Bubble vs. Green Bubble jerseys. Which team are you on?

Wichita Chili Buns (Wichita Wind Surge, Double-A Twins)

Some food identities are famous to an area but still well known by fans everywhere. Some are local favorites that turn up fervent supporters from the community. This one falls somewhere in the middle. Meet the Wichita Chili Buns, who highlighted the Midwest combination of enjoying cinnamon rolls with your chili. Now the only question is:Does the cinnamon bun go in the chili or on the side?

Motivational Speakers (Madison Mallards, Northwoods League)

Do you recognize the shirt-and-tie combo on this jersey? What if I told you that you would normally see it in a van down by the river? The Madison Mallards, a summer-collegiate baseball club from Chris Farley’s hometown, actually teamed up with with the late-comedians family to pay tribute in the best way possible.

Missouri River Motorboaters (Bismarck Larks, Northwoods League)

Ok, I’m cheating a bit on this one. I say that because the Missouri River Motorboaters actually debuted in 2023. But the Bismarck Larks brought it back, albeit with a refreshed look, last season. It’s just too good not to make the list.

Hartford Bouncing Pickles (Hartford Yard Goats, Double-A Rockies)

Did you know, in the state of Connecticut, it is illegal to sell a pickle that doesn’t bounce? The Hartford Yard Goats did. So what did they do with that information? They turned it into one of baseball’s best alternate identities.

Evansville Thirsty Thursday (Evansville Otters, Frontier League)

Long before specialty jerseys and alternate identities, one of baseball’s oldest promotions was cheap beer. That tradition continues today in ballparks across the country. But the Frontier League’s Evansville Otters needed a way to bring even more attention to their Thirsty Thursday specials. Introducing: the Beersey. The Otters wore these for every Thursday home game in 2024, to the envy of Men’s Softball teams everywhere.

Tulsa Raft Racers (Tulsa Drillers, Double-A Dodgers)

In recent years, Tulsa’s baseball club has really turned their attention hyper-local with their 918 Weekends. 2024’s Tulsa-centric weekend paid tribute to a few decade old tradition of Labor Day races down the Arkansas River when the team put on these “life jacket-style” jerseys to become the Tulsa Raft Racers.

This is by no means all of it. Every level of baseball will be bringing something new to it’s fans every weekend during the season. We hope you’ll follow us at @MiLBPromos so you can keep up with what is happening all-season long, and maybe even get out to a game yourself!
