Two upcoming baseball card releases from Leaf Trading Cards will be filled with prospects and prospect autographs, including the first trading cards at the professional level for many players taken in this past July’s MLB Draft.

Leaf Metal

Leaf Metal drops this Friday, Oct. 25, in two formats. The Hobby Box includes seven cards: four autographs, two base/parallel cards and one hobby exclusive “mojo auto.” The Jumbo box will have 14 cards, including eight autographs, four base/parallel cards, one jumbo exclusive “pulsar auto” and one “slabbed auto proof.” All autographs and base parallel cards will be numbered to 35 or less, according to Leaf.

One big-time chase card in the set is a triple autograph card featuring the three top 2024 MLB Draft picks: Travis Bazzana, Charlie Condon and Chase Burns.

Other top 2024 draftees with autos in the set include Nick Kurtz, Hagen Smith and Konnor Griffin.

Baseball America’s No. 1 prospect, Roman Anthony, will also have autographed cards in the set, including one as part of the “91 Leaf” insert, a tribute to a Leaf set from back in the day.

A plethora of other Baseball America Top 100 Prospects are represented in the set, including Chase Dollander, Dylan Crews and Coby Mayo, as are future draftees such as Ethan Holliday.

There are also plenty of other rookies and graduated prospects such as Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz and James Wood

Leaf Press Pass Premium

Leaf Press Pass Premium, out Nov. 8, comes in premium boxes with six base cards and parallels, including five autographs, one of which will be numbered to 25 or less, according to Leaf. There’s a 100-card base set and 100-card retro base set with eight different parallels numbered to 35 or less.

The set will also feature cards (including autographs) for 2024 draftees such as Bazzana, Condon, Kurtz, Smith, Burns and more. You can also expect future draft prospects such as Holliday, plus veterans such as Mookie Betts, Ichiro and Nolan Ryan.

Base autographs will be numbered 199 or less, and retro base autographs are numbered to 49 or less.

The set will also include a “Press Box signatures” insert that will include such names as John Smoltz, Jim Rome and Vin Scully.

Both releases will be available on the Leaf website and at major card retailers.
