Arizona Fall League 2024 Opening Day: Teams, Schedule & More

The 2024 Arizona Fall League is here! The circuit’s six-week schedule begins Monday with a 6:30 p.m. MT matchup between Surprise and Mesa. Since its inception, the AFL has been a proving ground for top MLB prospects, providing a platform for young talent to gain extra reps against top competition following the conclusion of the regular season.

2024 Arizona Fall League Opening Day Schedule

There is just one game–Mesa hosts Surprise–on Monday. The slate cranks up on Tuesday, and all six teams are in action Wednesday. Here’s the breakdown:

Monday, Oct. 7
Mesa @ Surprise — 6:30 p.m. MT

Tuesday, Oct. 8
Peoria @ Glendale — 1:30 p.m. MT
Scottsdale @ Salt River — 6:30 p.m. MT

Wednesday, Oct. 9
Salt River @ Glendale — 1:30 p.m. MT
Peoria @ Surprise — 1:30 p.m. MT
Mesa @ Scottsdale — 6:30 p.m. MT

2024 Arizona Fall League Rosters

The six team are comprised of prospects from the following clubs:

Glendale Desert Dogs: Cardinals, Dodgers, Phillies, Reds, White Sox
Mesa Solar Sox: Angels, Athletics, Cubs, Rays, Red Sox
Peoria Javelinas: Braves, Brewers, Mariners, Marlins, Padres
Salt River Rafters: D-backs, Nationals, Rockies, Twins, Yankees
Scottsdale Scorpions: Blue Jays, Giants, Mets, Pirates, Tigers
Surprise Saguaros: Astros, Guardians, Orioles, Rangers, Royals

How Can I Stream Arizona Fall League Games?

According to MLB.com, 81 regular-season games will stream on their website in addition to postseason and all-star festivities. Keep a watchful eye on the calendar.

You can also attend the games in person. A season pass—which is good for first-come, first-serve general admission at any game at any stadium all season long—is $155 or $115 for seniors. A season pass for two people is $185 or $155 for two seniors. Single game tickets are $13 apiece or $11 for people between the ages of 11-17. Those 10 years old or younger receive free admission.

Primarily, the AFL is played at six sites: Surprise Stadium, Salt River Fields, Scottsdale Stadium, Camelback Ranch (Glendale), Sloan Park (Mesa) and Peoria Stadium. This year, there will be special events played at American Family Fields of Phoenix, Goodyear Ballpark and Grand Canyon University’s Brazell Field. The vast majority of game time are at 1:30 and 6:30 mountain time.
